My mom shows me this gorgeous flower in her yard and says, “Here. Pick this and eat it.” I look at her like she’s crazy, but she’s completely serious, so I do it anyway. It tasted like a cross between a hot pepper and a kohlrabi! Totally having these on my garden salad tonight!

Shiny! Just got a washin’! Finally!

The TA truck stop in Troutdale, Oregon. I’ve been there a couple of times, now. One thing you don’t want to do is turn left when exiting the parking lot. It’s a one-way street with three lanes going to the right.

Guess what I did yesterday morning? Yup. Exactly that. I went the wrong way… on a one-way street… in a freakin’ hard-to-maneuver gigantic semi truck.…

I drove north today, all by myself, towards the woods. I left around 10 pm so I shared the dark, tree-lined country roads with no one besides one raccoon, one skunk, three or four deer and a farm cat.
